Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Maria Karidas (So, Forward, Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference field hockey player of the week for the week ending October 2, 2011. She helped the Griffins improve to 3-0 in the CSAC, and 7-3 overall, after scoring two goals and adding an assist in Gwynedd-Mercy’s 5-1 win over Cabrini on Saturday.
