Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Dave Smith (Sr., Forward, Cape May Court House, N.J. / Middle Twp.) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 1st. Smith notched double-doubles in three games this week, averaging 17 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1 assist and 4.3 blocks for the Griffins, including a career-high 17 rebounds in the team’s win over Immaculata. Hitting more than 70 percent of his shots from the floor, Smith led the Griffins to a 3-0 week in CSAC play, bringing the team to 8-0 in conference play for the season so far.
