How has your semester been?
It has been a very weird semester. It has been hard not having a field hockey season, but I am hopeful for lacrosse in the spring.
What kind of training have you done with your team?
We have had practice three times a week, as well as weight lifting. It helped keep us in shape and touch up on our hockey skills. It was also really great to get out of our rooms and practice together as a team.
Are there any community service activities that you have been involved in?
I have helped in the past with Relay for Life and the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. When I was in high school, I travelled to Nicaragua to be a translator for the doctors in a volunteer eye clinic.
Are you involved in any clubs/organizations on campus outside of athletics?
I am the Public Relations officer for Alpha Lambda Delta, as well as a SAAC club representative.
Any fun facts you’re willing to share about yourself?
I love dogs. I have a (not so little) pug back home. Her name is Penelope Chunk (mom picked the name)
What do you like most about being a student-athlete at your institution?
I love how all the athletes hold a certain respect for one another. Whether it’s field hockey or football or softball, all the athletes respect and support each other. Most of the teams will go and support the other athletic programs during their off-season or when they have days off. I love being part of a program where women athletics are just as respectable as men athletics.
