In this weekend’s showdown of the top two teams in the CSAC, Villar earned the Win in Saturday's opener going six-plus innings, scattering six hits, and striking out four.  Villar threw 105 pitches, striking out four, and causing six flyouts and five groundouts.  He is currently tied for 3rd in the CSAC with four victories this season and is tied for 5th with 33 total strikeouts.
