Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Maria Karidas was named The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending October 24. Karidas totaled five goals in two close wins last week. She recorded a hat trick at Neumann, notching all her team’s goals in a 3-2 road win, but saved her best performance for Saturday’s game against York. Her second goal of the game came with less than a second remaining to force overtime where she assisted on the game-winning score for a 4-3 victory.
