Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Heather Morgan has been named The Colonial States Athletic Conference softball pitcher of the week for the week ending April 24, 2011. Morgan threw two complete game shutouts going 3-0 in three starts in the week with a 0.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts. The senior allowed one unearned run on two hits in an 11-1 win over Philadelphia Biblical University in the second game of their double header. Later in the week she started both games against Rosemont College while not yielding a run over 11 innings. In game one (W 12-0), she allowed just three hits with four K’s and a walk. Game two (W 8-0), she struck out a season-high seven on three hits and no walks.
