Keystone ranked 16th, Neumann receives votes in preseason poll
The Keystone College baseball team has been ranked 16th in the 2012 preseason d3baseball.com/National College Baseball Writers Association Top 25, while Neumann University appears just outside of the Top 25, as "others receiving votes."
The Giants, coached by Jamie Shevchik, finished 38-12 a season ago, winning both the Colonial States Athletic Conference title and the NCAA Mideast Regional championship and advancing to the semifinals of the D-III College World Series, before falling to eventual national champion Marietta College, which is the top-ranked squad in the preseason poll.
The Knights, under head coach John Fleming, received four votes in the preseason poll after going 28-13 in 2011, reaching the semifinals of both the CSAC tournament and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region tournament.
