The Colonial States Athletic Conference saw its teams go 2-2 in the first round of the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South playoffs.  In volleyball, second-seeded Cabrini College coasted past Lebanon Valley to earn a spot in Saturday's semifinals.  In men's soccer, Marywood University cruised past Frostburg State, while Neumann was defeated at Lebanon Valley.  In women's soccer, Swarthmore College defeated the CSAC's lone representative, Marywood.

The host Cavaliers (20-9) made quick work of #7 Lebanon Valley (19-14) at the Dixon Center, winning by scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-21.  Danielle Carrozza posted 12 kills and 12 digs, while Molly Fox and Meg Ryan each added 10 kills.  Cabrini will now travel to Bethany, W.Va. to take on the top-seeded Bethany Bison in semifinal action on Saturday morning at 11am.  The winner will advance to the 5:00pm championship match, against the winner of Saturday's second semifinal between #2 Moravian and #3 Swarthmore.

The seventh-seeded Marywood men's soccer team scored twice in a 16-minute span midway through the first half, before adding two more insurance tallies early in the second frame, to upend #2 Frostburg State 2-1.  Christian Lawlor scored two goals for the Pacers, while Christian Lawlor and Kris Kassel added a goal apiece.  Marywood will now move onto the semifinals, and will face #3 seed Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon at Penn State-Behrend in Erie, Pa.

Neumann University's men's soccer team didn't fare as well in its opening round ECAC game, as the #6 Knights fell to #3 Lebanon Valley 4-1.  The host Dutchmen led 1-0 at the half, and extended their lead to 3-0 before the Knights' Michael Atallian put his squad on the board with 14 minutes left to play.  The hosts would score once more with less than two minutes remaining to end Neumann's season and move onto the semis against Marywood.

In women's soccer, host and #2 seed Swarthmore used goals in the sixth and 46th minutes to defeat #7 Marywood University 2-0.  The Pacers, who out-shot the Garnet 15-13, received eight saves from goalie Emily Osborne, but it wasn't enough, as they end the season with a 10-9-1 overall record.
