CSAC squads learn NCAA first round fate
INDIANAPOLIS, IN: Five teams from the Colonial States Athletic Conference have learned their postseason fate from the NCAA, with the tournaments in their respective sports to begin this week. The Cabrini men's lacrosse team, which defeated Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday for the CSAC crown, will host next door neighbor Eastern University on Wednesday in the first round of the men's lacrosse NCAA tourney. The Cabrini women's lacrosse team will travel to Gettysburg College for first round NCAA action, also on Wednesday afternoon, while the CSAC champion Centenary softball team will face Moravian College in the first round of the NCAA regional tourrney on Thursday afternoon at Kean University in Union, NJ. The CSAC men's tennis champion, Marywood University, will face Nichols College in NCAA first round action in Amherst, MA on Friday, while Gwynedd-Mercy College, which won the CSAC women's tennis title in October, will face Salem State on Friday in Williamstown, MA in NCAA postseason play. The Neumann University men's golf team, which earned a berth in the NCAA Championships by winning the team title at the CSAC championships on April 28th, will travel to Howey-in-the-Hills, FL and the Mission Inn Resort for for round play on May 15th.
