ROSEMONT, Pa. – On what could be a very rainy and windy day, the 2018 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) will host its Cross Country Championships at Bicentennial Park in Allentown on Saturday morning.
The men’s race will get started at 11 a.m. with the women’s race to follow at noon.
Hosted by Cedar Crest College, several teams got a look at the challenging course earlier this year as the Falcons, along with Moravian College, hosted a preview meet on September 14. In that meet, Bryn Athyn captured the women’s title among the four teams that were there with a low score of 34 points. Host Cedar Crest was second at 54, followed by Notre Dame of Maryland University at 59 and Clarks Summit University in fourth at 70 points.
On the men’s side, Cairn captured the three-team CSAC field with a low score of 18 points, followed by Summit with 57 and Bryn Athyn in third with 62.

Evan Carey and
Trevor Hickey from Cairn. The Highlanders were second in last year’s race with a low score of 46 with Keystone in third at 93.

Abigail Haines is a returning second-team All-CSAC selection from last season, as is Cairn’s
Anika Archer. Haines won the preview meet with a time of 26:41.3, while Archer was third with a time of 28:55.
Bryn Athyn, who joined the conference as a core member this year, got a second place finish out of
Natalie Drum who finished with a time of 28:08.9.
