Cairn the top pick in CSAC MBB Preseason Coaches' Poll
ROSEMONT, Pa. – Cairn University was the top pick of the coaches in the 2019-2020 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men’s basketball preseason coaches’ poll.
The Highlanders, who advanced to the CSAC title game last year before losing to Rosemont, received 61 points and six first-place votes. Centenary University was second with 48 points and two first-place votes.
Wilson College was third with 42 points, followed by defending champion Rosemont in fourth with 41 points.
The College of Saint Elizabeth, who joined the CSAC as a core member this year, was fifth with 35 points.
Keystone College was sixth with 33 points, followed by Bryn Athyn College in seventh at 15 points and Clarks Summit University in eighth with 13 points.
The regular season begins on Saturday, November 9, with six of the eight conference teams in action. Bryn Athyn will play an exhibition game against Division I Towson University on Friday, November 8.
CSAC play begins on Saturday, November 30, with Cairn taking on Keystone and Bryn Athyn traveling to Clarks Summit.
The CSAC playoffs, which feature the top four teams, start with the semifinals on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 with the championship set for Saturday, February 29, 2020.
