Keystone picked first in CSAC Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll
ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Keystone College baseball team was the top pick of the coaches in the 2019 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason poll released on Thursday afternoon.
The Giants got 35 points and five first-place votes among the six coaches, who were allowed to vote for their own teams. Cairn University was second with 30 points and one first-place vote, while Centenary was third with 23 points.
“We are honored to be selected by the CSAC coaches to repeat as conference champions. We are looking forward to starting the season and we wish all the teams the best this upcoming year,’ said Keystone head coach

Wilson College, who is fielding a team for the first time in school history, was fourth with 19 points. The University of Valley Forge, who joins the CSAC as an associate member for baseball this season was fifth with 11 points while Clarks Summit University was sixth with eight points.
The conference slate starts on Friday, April 5, as Cairn travels to Valley Forge, Wilson travels to Clarks Summit and Centenary travels to Keystone. Conference play will be a three-game series, with the championship scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 8 with the second and third seed facing off. The winner of that game advances to the CSAC Championship to face the top-seed in a three-game series starting on Friday, May 10. The championship will be held at the highest remaining seed.
Keystone has won the last ten championships, dating back to the 2009 season.
