CSAC Announces Fall 2019 All-Academic Team
Fall 2019 CSAC All-Academic team
ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has named a total of 390 student-athletes to the Fall 2019 CSAC All-Academic Team. The CSAC All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or better during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA.
"Each one of these student-athletes should be commended," said CSAC Commissioner
Adrienne Mullikin. "It is great to see that so many have excelled not only athletically, but also academically. These student-athletes truly demonstrate the NCAA Division III philosophy of enjoying a full collegiate experience, and they more than deserve this recognition."
Cairn University led the way with 65 All-Academic selections, while Keystone College was second with 51 All-Academic selections. Clarks Summit University was third with 45 All-Academic selections.
Cairn University also had 79.27 percent of its Fall Student-Athletes named to the All-Academic squad, with Clarks Summit in second with 67.16 percent. Cedar Crest was in third with 61.29 percent.
Eight of the ten core members had over 40 percent of their rosters named All-Academic, while associate member Lancaster Bible College (field hockey) had 46.15 percent of its roster named All-Academic.
A total of 79 All-Academic selections were honored as All-CSAC, while 32 All-Academic selections were named to their respective sport's All-Sportsmanship teams.
A total of eight All-Academic selections received major end of season awards in their respective sports:
Naomi Paull (Clarks Summit, Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year);
Daria Warner (Cedar Crest, Women's Soccer Player of the Year);
Sarah Nawrocki (Cedar Crest, Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year);
Kyrstin Jarvis (Cairn University, Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year);
Kameron Clark (Cairn University, Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year);
Alyssa Kerns (Notre Dame of Maryland University; Women's Volleyball Player of the Year);
Savanna Robinson (Keystone College, Field Hockey Player of the Year);
Daphne Leenas (Keystone College, Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year);
