Cairn nets the top pick in the 2021-22 MBB Preseason Coaches' Poll
ROSEMONT, Pa. – Defending champion Cairn University was the top pick of the coaches in the 2021-22 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men’s Basketball Preseason poll released Tuesday afternoon.
The Highlanders, who received 61 points and six first-place votes, won the 2020 championship with a victory over Centenary. The CSAC did not have a competitive season in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Rosemont College was picked second with 52 points and one first-place vote. Keystone College came in third with 47 points and one-first place vote.
Wilson College was picked fourth with 34 points, followed by Bryn Athyn College in fifth with 31 points and Saint Elizabeth University in sixth with 29 points.
The University of Valley Forge and Clarks Summit University were tied for seventh with 17 points each.
The season starts on Friday, November 5, with a pair of games. The first conference game is set for Thursday, December 2, as Cairn hosts Bryn Athyn.
The CSAC Championship, featuring the top five teams, begins on Monday, February 21, 2022, with the championship game set for Saturday, February 26, 2022.
