CSAC Announces 2021 Field Hockey End of Year Awards
ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is proud to announce its 2021 Field Hockey End of Year Awards. These awards including All-CSAC (First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention), Defensive, Player and Rookie of the Year, along with Coach of the Year and the 3-D Award.
These awards were voted upon by the league’s eight head coaches, were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The 2021 Player of the Year is
Michaela Singer from Wilson College. Singer, a fifth-year from Annville, Pa., is the first player from Wilson to win this honor in field hockey. A first-team All-CSAC selection at forward, she led the conference in goals with 25 and in points with 57. She also had a conference best 83 shots. She had a season-high four goals in a win over Centenary
The 2021 Defensive Player of the Year is Keystone College graduate student
Taylor Cercone (Dallas, Pa.). A first-team All-CSAC selection at defender, she is the second straight Keystone student-athlete to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award in field hockey. This season, she ranked second the conference in defensive saves with 11, and had a season-best four against Susquehanna.
The 2021 Rookie of the Year is Sweet Briar College sophomore
Brynna Hughes (Richmond, Va.). She is the first Sweet Briar student-athlete to win the Rookie of the Year award. She is a first-team All-CSAC at forward. This season, her 15 goals ranks second in the conference and her 40 total points is also second best in the CSAC. She scored a season best four goals in a win over Southern
Virginia.

Hannah Lott was selected as Coach of the Year by her peers. In her eighth season, she led the Vixens to a 13-7 record and the fourth seed in the CSAC playoffs.
The 3-D Award was presented to Lancaster Bible. Implemented for the 2011-12 academic year, the Colonial States Athletic Conference 3D Award replaced the CSAC Team Sportsmanship Award. The 3D Award recognizes the teams in each sport that best demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of "Discover, Develop, Dedicate." The 3D Award was conceived and developed by the CSAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). This is the second straight season Lancaster Bible has won the award.
