CSAC Announces Cross Country End of Year Awards
ROSEMONT, Pa. – Keystone’s Ian Hankins and Cedar Crest’s Alec Duncan were named as the 2021 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coaches of the Year respectively, on Monday afternoon.
The Coach of the Year was chosen by the conference’s head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for themselves.
Hankins, in his second year as coach of the Giants Cross Country program, led the Giants to a first-place finish at the 2021 Colonial States Athletic Men's Cross Country Conference championship.
Duncan, in his sixth season at the helm of the Falcons, led Cedar Crest to its first CSAC title in women’s cross country.
In addition, the Falcons were chosen by the head coaches as the recipient of the 3-D Award on the women’s side, Clarks Summit was the recipient on the men’s side. Implemented for the 2011-12 academic year, the Colonial States Athletic Conference 3D Award replaced the CSAC Team Sportsmanship Award. The 3D Award recognizes the teams in each sport that best demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of "Discover, Develop, Dedicate." The 3D Award was conceived and developed by the CSAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). This is the first time the Falcons have won the award on the women’s side, while Clarks Summit won the award for the second time.
Finally, the CSAC is proud to announce the All-Sportsmanship team. These student-athletes were chosen by their coaches.
