Dr. Allen G. Snook, Jr., named CSAC Acting Commissioner
ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Dr. Allen G. Snook, Jr. as the Acting Commissioner of CSAC effective June 5, 2021.
Dr. Snook currently serves as the Director of Athletics, Wellness and Recreation at Cedar Crest College, a position he has held since February 2015. He most recently served as the chair of the CSAC Athletic Director’s Executive Committee.
“We are excited and appreciative for Dr. Snook to step into the CSAC Acting Commissioner position,” said Dr. Marylou Yam, Ph.D., Chair of the CSAC Board of Directors. “Allen is an experienced leader in college athletics and the Board looks forward to working with him as we prepare for the upcoming 2021-22 athletic season.”
Prior to coming to Cedar Crest, he was the Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Division II Pfeiffer University for 13 years.
Dr. Snook earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Psychology from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a Doctorate of Health Sciences from A.T. Still University.
