2022 ALL-CSAC FIELD HOCKEY TEAM ANNOUNCED
VILLANOVA, Pa. – Head coaches of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) have selected Kiley Marone of Cedar Crest College and Alexis Pflumm of Wilson College as co-CSAC Players of the Year. Keystone's Angelina Morley was named the CSAC Defensive Player of the Year while Lancaster Bible's Amanda Hoover was tabbed the CSAC Rookie of the Year. Ashley Irwin, Keystone College head coach was voted CSAC Coach of the Year.
Marone, a senior forward, put up 22 goals in the regular season with two of them being game-winners. She led the conference for most goals scored and points at 51. Marone is fifth nationally in NCAA Division III for goals scored. She will conclude her senior campaign playing in the NFHCA Division III Senior Game.
A senior midfielder, Pflumm drives the offense for Wilson while also playing post on defensive corners. She led the league in shots with 81, and was second for shots on goal at 49. Her 12 goals and six assists on the year made her a top threat in the conference.
Keystone's Morley ranked second in NCAA Division III for defensive saves with 12, leading the conference. Two of her defensive saves came at a critical matchup against Sweet Briar to push the contest into overtime, and another defensive save against Cedar Crest secured the number-two seed for the Giants in the CSAC playoffs.
Hoover started and played in every game except for one quarter for Lancaster Bible this season. She averaged 8.44 saves per game and held a 73.5% save percentage in conference play. She totaled 152 saves this season and contributed to three shutouts.
Irwin led Keystone to an 8-8 regular season finish, bringing the Giants to their sixth CSAC playoff birth and third title appearance in her ninth season.
