2022 ALL-CSAC MEN'S SOCCER TEAM ANNOUNCED

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men's soccer coaches have selected Moses Beers of Cairn University as CSAC Player of the Year. Rosemont College's Sean Rodriguez was voted CSAC Defensive Player of the Year, while teammate Santi Possu (Malher Santiago-Possu) was tabbed CSAC Rookie of the Year. Chris Garcia, Saint Elizabeth University head coach, rounded out the major awards being named CSAC Coach of the Year by his peers.

Beers led the conference in points, assists, and was tied for third in goals. Nationally, he was second in NCAA Division III in total assists and assists per game. As an attacking midfielder, Beers made the difference for Cairn throughout the season, contributing to a 9-6-5 season finish for the Highlanders.

Starting and playing in 15 games, Rodriguez led the Ravens back line, from the center back position, to seven shutouts in the regular season. As a team, Rosemont gave up only 12 goals in CSAC play, the lowest in the league.

Possu made an appearance in every game this season for Rosemont and was second in the league for shots per game at 3.56 (32 total). With 10 goals and 10 assists he led the Ravens in total points at 30. Possu was named CSAC championship MVP for his performance in the playoffs.

In his fourth season with the Eagles, head coach Chris Garcia led Saint Elizabeth to a semifinal appearance in the CSAC playoffs after a 10-4-3 mark on the regular season. Garcia has improved the team's performance each year, with the 11 total wins in 2022 being the highest in program history.
