CSAC Announces Weekly Awards for April 19, 2022

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) is proud to announce the Weekly Award winners for April 19, 2022. This includes Players of the Week in Baseball and Softball as well as Honor Roll selections in each sport.
 
A total of 15 student-athletes were honored.
 
Softball
Player of the Week
Mercedes Rivera | Saint Elizabeth University | CF | Jr. | Millville, N.J./Wildwood Catholic
 
Collected 12 hits and eight runs scored over four games. Went a perfect 8-for-8 in the series against Valley Forge with six runs scored.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Hampton | Saint Elizabeth University | RHP | Gr. | Manchester, N.J./Manchester Township
 
Picked up 28 strikeouts over four games, while getting wins against Valley Forge and Notre Dame.

Honor Roll
Notre Dame’s Jessie Leatherwood who got a save in a win against Saint Elizabeth…Cairn’s Kacey Wees who had eight strikeouts and got a win over Clarks Summit…Cairn’s Abby Heacock who had seven hits in four games with five RBI…Cedar Crest’s Delaney VanBuskirk who had multiple hits in both games against Marywood…Notre Dame’s Miranda Burton who went 7-for-12 with five RBI and four runs in four games…Valley Forge’s Jaeleen Mendoza who had three hits on the week.
 
Baseball
Player of the Week
Justin Otero | Saint Elizabeth University | 2B | Jr. | Bronx, N.Y./Salesian
 
Went 6-for-7 in the Rosemont series with four runs batted in and a stolen base. Had two RBI against Lehman. Slugged 1.111
 
Pitcher of the Week
Carson Conradt | Cairn University | RHP | Gr. | Chino Hills, Calif./Chino Hills  

In a complete game win over Clarks Summit, scattered four hits and allowed just one run, while fanning 13 and only walking two.

Honor Roll
Cairn’s Joshua Melchior who collected 13 hits over seven games last week…Keystone’s RJ Gouldsbury who went .368 last week with six RBI…Valley Forge’s Colin Orndorff who went 3-for-5 in the win over Keystone…Keystone’s Nathan Hinkley who went 2-0 with nine strikeouts in 13.1 innings…Valley Forge’s Allan Goodwin who struck out three in picking up the win over Keystone.
