The players were nominated by their coaches, who then voted on the teams but were not permitted to vote for their own players.

The 2022 Coach of the Year was Kari-Lei Berry from Notre Dame of Maryland University. This season, she led the Gators to a 7-5 record and a 5-1 mark in the CSAC.

The 3-D Award also went to Notre Dame of Maryland. Implemented for the 2011-12 academic year, the Colonial States Athletic Conference 3D Award replaced the CSAC Team Sportsmanship Award. The 3D Award recognizes the teams in each sport that best demonstrate the NCAA Division-III philosophy of "Discover, Develop, Dedicate."
