Stockton captures 2022 MLAX Championship with 25-8 win over Montclair
GALLOWAY, N.J. – Homestanding and top seed Stockton University (16-2) raced out to a commanding 11-1 lead after one quarter and never looked back at the Ospreys captured the 2022 Colonial States Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship with a 25-8 win over Montclair State (12-5) on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys captured their second CSAC championship and will represent the CSAC in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
Championship MVP Luc Swedlund scored seven goals, while Sean Haddock and Reegan Capozzoli each scored four for the Ospreys who fired off 49 shots on the afternoon.
Tyler Horvath netted ten ground balls and was 19-for-28 on faceoffs for Stockton.
For Montclair, Mike McCreery and Matt Dancsecs each scored two goals, while Tyler McCreery handed out two assists.
In goal, Osprey netminder Eric Lindskog made five saves while David Metzger made ten saves for Montclair.
