Clarks Summit Names Josh Knight Interim Baseball Coach

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Clarks Summit University's Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Joshua Knight as head baseball coach and Assistant Director of the Recreational Center. Athletic Director, Mike Show, is excited for the opportunity for Josh Knight to be interim baseball coach. "He has a disciple mentality, a great knowledge of baseball, and a desire to mentor student athletes for the glory of God. He understands the mission of our school as a former student. He is a welcomed to addition to our athletic department."
 
Attending Clarks Summit University from 2018-2022, Knight graduated with bachelor's in business administration with an emphasis on Sports Management, where he also made an impact as a two-time all-conference athlete in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). During his time as a student, Knight was a Youth Baseball Instructor at a Pro Baseball Clinic in Sunbury, Pa. in 2019 and 2021, overseeing upwards of 100 athletes from kindergarten to 12th grades. His coaching experience began at the age 16, where he was Practice Assistant for the Danville Little League team in 2015.
 
His leadership goes far beyond coaching as he was a captain on the baseball team as well as a Resident Assistant (RA) from 2020 to his graduation. He is well known with his peers, subordinates, and mentors as an effective and caring leader. Knight is welcomed back to CSU Athletics following his completed internship the fall of 2021.
