CSAC Announces Weekly Award Winners for February 6, 2023

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its Players of the Week for February 6, 2023. This includes Players of the Week in Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as Honor Roll selections in each sport.

This week’s selections included contests from Monday, January 30 through Sunday, February 5. A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for their performances.

Men’s Basketball
Offensive Player of the Week
Jack Anderson |So. | Keystone College | G | Davie, Fl. /Western HS
Anderson averaged 24.5 points per game in a 2-0 league week for Keystone, shooting 52.6% from three (10-of-19) and 50% from the field (14-of-28).  Anderson also shot 85% from the free-throw line (11-13) while adding in 8 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.  This is the third CSAC Player of the Week this season for the CSAC leader in total 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goals percentage (42.3%), free-throw percentage (86.9%) and minutes played (38.7 minutes per game).  Anderson is also third in scoring average (20.7 points per game).
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Antonio Bussey | Sr. | Wilson College | C | Aiken, S.C. /Aiken HS
Bussey was prominent in Wilson's 2-0 week against the two top teams in the CSAC as he averaged 10 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He opened with 13 points, seven rebounds, and a block in the Phoenix's win at Rosemont and followed up with seven points and 12 rebounds at home against Cairn. Defensively his presence forced the Ravens to shoot more from the outside as the Phoenix outscored them 58-28 inside the paint. Wilson also outrebounded Rosemont 32-18. Cairn was limited to 30 points in the paint while none of the Highlanders reached double-figures offensively.  This is the third CSAC Player of the Week honor for Bussey.
 
Honor Roll
Bryn Athyn’s William Little averaged 22.5 points on 65% shooting from the field including 63% (5-8) on three-pointers and 86% (6-7) from the free-throw line while Jaryn McCann averaged 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while totaling 6 steals as the Lions went 2-0 on the week…Cairn’s Kameron Clark averaged a double-double on the week including an 18-point, 12 rebound performance vs. Clarks Summit while Jesse Rivera totaled 14 assists on the week…Clarks Summit’s Ashton West averaged 23 points per game and totaled 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals while Hunter Plantz averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds on the week…Keystone’s Pete Laidley averaged a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) including 12 total assists as the Giants went 2-0 on the week…Saint Elizabeth’s D’Angelo Blackmond had a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) vs. Bryn Athyn while Pierre Harden just missed a triple-double (20 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) vs. Keystone and averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds on the week…Wilson’s Darryl Garib averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in two wins including helping Wilson set a program-record of 75% field goal percentage against Rosemont.


Women’s Basketball
Offensive Player of the Week
Elizabeth Singleton | Gr. | Clarks Summit University | G/F | Schenectady, NY / Mekeel Christian Academy
Singleton averaged 30 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Defenders including a 40-point performance on Wednesday vs. Rosemont; the 2nd 40-point game of the season.  Over the week, Singleton shot 23-30 (77%) from the foul line, averaged 7 rebounds per game and dished out 15 total assists.  On Saturday, Singleton had a double-double (20 points and 11 assists) to run the season-long total to 11 double-doubles in 18 games played.  This is the sixth CSAC Player of the Week honor for Singleton, who is Top 5 in the CSAC in most Scoring, Rebounding, Shooting, and Assists categories.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Adrianna Stricek | FY | Wilson College | F | Harrisburg, PA /Trinity HS
Stricek averaged a double-double during Wilson's 2-0 week which included a win against Notre Dame (MD) who was previously unbeaten in the CSAC. Stricek opened with 14 points, 15 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal in a 75-56 win against the Gators. On Saturday, Stricek followed up with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals in a win at Cairn. After this week’s games, Stricek has 11 double-doubles in 20 games played. 
 
Honor Roll
Bryn Athyn’s Terrae Lewis averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2 assists including 18 points and 8 rebounds against Clarks Summit while Keerah Henry had  a 7-steal performance in a win over Valley Forge…Cairn’s Taylor Hinson had two more double-doubles averaging 24.5 points per game and 14 rebounds per game…Cedar Crest’s Ashely Wilson averaged 23.5 points per game and totaled 7 steals and 8 assists on the week while Haivynn Kovach tied a season-high with 16 points to go along with 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 5 steals in a narrow loss to Valley Forge…Clarks Summit’s Serene Calderon averaged 11.5 points per game and 8 assists per game as the Defenders went 2-0 on the week…Keystone’s Kyleigh Monk averaged 16.5 points shooting 46.2% from the field (12-26) and 43.8% (7-16) from three including a career-high 23 points vs. Cedar Crest while Izzy Rosario had 8 steals on the week, including 6 steals vs. Notre Dame (MD)…Notre Dame (MD)’s Daija Fitchett had a double-double in a win vs. Keystone finishing with 14 points and 16 rebounds while Kori People had a double-double (23 points, 10 rebounds) vs. Keystone…Saint Elizabeth’s Destiny Battle totaled 43 points, 18 assists, and 18 rebounds including a triple-double on Saturday vs. Rosemont (24 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) while Kolby Lynch averaged a double-double (10.5 points, 11.5 rebounds) and totaled 7 steals in a 2-0 week for the Eagles…Wilson’s Samira Murphy recorded a double-double in both wins averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists on the week.  Against Notre Dame (MD), Murphy was 3 assists shy of a triple-double and now had 3 double-doubles in the last five games played…
