Baseball Wraps Up 2023 Season at Dallas Regional

DALLAS, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team's 2023 campaign ended as they suffered an 18-9 loss to Washington & Jefferson College Saturday morning in the elimination game of the Dallas Regional at Misericordia University. Keystone concludes their season at 30-14. Washington & Jefferson keeps their season alive and moves to 32-13.
Griffin Yastremski went 4-for-4 with four RBI to lead the Keystone offense. Jason Thomas went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Julio Acosta went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and was walked twice. Anthony Raimo recorded two hits which included a two-RBI double.
Jordan Art got the start for the Giants and went one run inning. Dominic Verrastro, Julian Gonzalez, Tyler Mullen, and Nathan Hinkley appeared in relief. Verrastro and Gonzalez combined for seven strikeouts.
Keystone's bat came alive at the beginning of the game as they took a 7-2 heading into the bottom of the third. The Presidents started to come back and take control of this game as they totaled 16 runs in the third through seventh inning. Washington and Jefferson used a six-run sixth inning to put the game away and ultimately end the Giants season.
Washington and Jefferson will face the loser of Salve Regina and Misericordia later on this afternoon.
