Week ending April 22, 2012

Player of the Week:
Kim Commisso - So - Mid - Marywood University
After scoring three goals in a 22-11 win over Immaculata on Tuesday, Commisso scored seven goals, including the 100th of her collegiate career, to lead Marywood to a 20-11 victory over Lycoming College on Thursday. The sophomore then scored four goals as the Pacers clinched the top seed in the CSAC Playoffs with an 18-16 win over Centenary on Saturday. Commisso finished the week with 14 goals, 15 groundballs, 12 caused turnovers, and 20 draw controls.

Honor Roll:
Lacie Doubet - Fr - Att - Cabrini College
In two Cabrini wins, Doubet posted 12 points, on nine goals and three assists.  After going for two goals and two assists in Tuesday’s win over Cedar Crest, Doubet exploded for a career-high seven goals, along with an assist, in Saturday’s win over defending CSAC champ Gwynedd-Mercy. 

Morgan Hosler - Sr - Att - Gwynedd-Mercy College
Hosler registered 16 points, on 12 goals and four assists, in three games for the 2-1 Griffins.  She scored four goals in each of the three games, while adding a career-high three assists in Thursday’s win over King’s College

Week ending April 15, 2012

Player of the Week:
Jacky McDermott - Sr - Att - Cabrini College
McDermott led the Cavaliers during their 1-1 week, totaling 10 points, on eight goals and two assists, while adding six ground balls.  In Tuesday’s narrow loss to FDU-Florham, the senior scored a career-high six points, on five goals and one assist.  In Saturday’s win over CSAC rival Neumann, McDermott posted four points, on three goals and one assist, all in the first half. 

Honor Roll:
Leigha Dolcemascolo - So - GK - Marywood University
Dolcemascolo stopped nine of 14 shots in Marywood’s 12-5 win over Notre Dame (MD) on Saturday, good for a save percentage of .600.  The five goals were a season-low for the Gators, while Marywood remained perfect on the season (5-0) in CSAC play. 

Alexandra Bohen - Sr - Att - Neumann University
In two games, Bohen recorded 10 points, on nine goals and one assist.  In Tuesday’s 14-11 win over Immaculata, she scored six goals, including the 200th of her career, while adding an assist.  On Saturday against Cabrini, she added three goals, along with six draw controls.

Week ending April 8, 2012

Player of the Week:
Diana D'Achille - So - Mid - Marywood University
D’Achille had a big week offensively for the Pacers, who improved to 4-0 in the conference with CSAC wins over Rosemont and Cedar Crest.  In the Rosemont contest, she posted seven points, on three goals and four assists, while tying a program record with 17 draw controls.  Two days later against the Falcons, she tied a CSAC season-high with nine points - on seven goals and two assists - to finish the week with 10 goals and six helpers, as well as eight ground balls. 

Honor Roll:
Lacie Doubet - Fr - Att - Cabrini College
Doubet totaled 11 points, on seven goals and four assists, in two games for the Cavaliers.  After posting three goals and an assist in an 18-9 loss to Scranton on Tuesday, Doubet exploded for eight points - with four goals and four assists - in Thursday’s 23-14 CSAC win over Centenary.  In addition to the 11 points, Doubet also added 12 ground balls and 13 draw controls in the two games for the Cavaliers.

Week ending April 1, 2012

Player of the Week: 
Molly Murray - Jr - Att - Notre Dame of MD University
Murray led the Falcons to a 2-0 week, totaling 13 goals, eight ground balls, and eight caused turnovers.  In Thursday’s 22-12 win over Hood, she scored seven goals, while adding six ground balls and causing six turnovers.  Two days later, in a 16-11 win over CSAC foe Immaculata, Murray went for six goals, while grabbing two ground balls and causing two turnovers. 

Honor Roll:
Brigid Dowling - Sr - Mid - Gwynedd-Mercy College
In three games on the week, Dowling registered 15 points, on 10 goals and five assists.  Against Widener on Monday, she scored a team-high four goals, to go with one assist, before leading the Griffins to a thrilling 12-11 win over Arcadia on Thursday, scoring five goals with two assists.  She wrapped up the week with a three-point day in Saturday’s win over Cedar Crest, as she scored one goal and assisted on two others.

Week ending March 25, 2012

Player of the Week:
Alysia Pinkerton - Jr - Mid - Centenary College
Pinkerton led the Cyclones to a 3-0 week, recording 10 goals, four assists, and 24 ground balls.  In Tuesday’s win over Rosemont, she scored four goals with an assist, while picking up 15 ground balls and earning 13 draw controls. Three days later, against Notre Dame (MD), she went for five points, on three goals and two assists. 

Honor Roll:
Meghan Garsey - Sr - Mid - Neumann University
Garsey led the Knights to a pair of victories on the week, tallying seven goals and four assists. In Monday’s 14-12 CSAC win over Gwynedd-Mercy, Garsey scored two goals with three assists, while adding four ground balls.  On Saturday against Rosemont, she went for six points, on five goals and one assist.

Week ending March 18, 2012

Player of the Week:
Diana D 'Achille - So - Mid - Marywood University

D’Achille led the Pacers to a pair of big CSAC victories on the week.  In Tuesday’s 17-7 win over defending CSAC champ Gwynedd-Mercy, the sophomore scored six goals with one assist, while tying a Marywood single-game record with 17 draw controls.  In Saturday’s 16-5 win over Cabrini, D’Achille scored three goals, including the 100th of her career, while adding an assist.  She finished the week with 11 points, on nine goals and two helpers. 

Honor Roll:
Allison Terry - Jr - Mid - Notre Dame of MD University
Terry earns her second straight CSAC Honor Roll selection, after scoring 17 goals in three games for the 2-1 Gators.  In Tuesday’s defeat to Cabrini, she had a team-high four goals, to go with two draw controls.  She posted a game-high eight goals, with four draw controls, in Thursday’s win over Albright, before going for five goals in Saturday’s win over CSAC rival Cedar Crest.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________

Week ending March 11, 2012

Player of the Week:
Danielle Bay - Sr - Mid - Centenary College

Bay led the Cyclones to a 2-0 week, totallying 12 points, on nine goals and three assists.  In Centenary’s 15-4 win over Cazenovia on Wednesday, Bay went for six points, on five goals and a helper, while causing two turnovers and grabbing two ground balls.  Three days later, in a 22-14 win over Rutgers-Camden, she scored six points, with four goals and two assists, to go with three caused turnovers and five ground balls. 

Honor Roll:
Sarah Caughy - So - Mid - Marywood University
Caughy led the Pacers to a 2-1 week, totaling nine goals and five assists in the three games.  In Monday’s 13-12 thriller with VA?Wesleyan, Caughy scored four goals, before going for four goals and two assists in Wednesday’s 15-11 win over Randolph Macon.  On Saturday, in a narrow 10-9 loss to Lebanon Valley, Caughy scored four points, on one goal and three assists, while adding two ground balls.

Allison Terry - Jr - Mid - Notre Dame of MD University
Terry had a big opening week for the Falcons, tallying 14 goals and one assist in two games.  In Notre Dame’s 15-10 season-opening defeat to Wesley, Terry went for six points, on five goals and an assist, before erupting for nine goals, adding six ground balls, in a 16-13 defeat to Colby Sawyer on Saturday.

Week ending March 4, 2012

Player of the Week:
Erica Crabtree - Jr - Att - Neumann University

The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named Neumann University's Erica Crabtree (Spring City, PA/Spring-Ford) its women's lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending March 4.  The junior had a big opening week for the 3-0 Knights, posting 16 points (12 G, 4 Ast) to go with nine ground balls.  In Neumann's 16-7 season-opening win over Rutgers-Camden on Monday, Crabtree recorded six points, on four goals and two assists, while adding three ground balls.  Two days later, in the Knights' 15-11 win over Arcadia, she scored seven goals to go with three ground balls.  Crabtree finished the week with a goal and two assists in Neumann's 11-10 win over Wesley on Friday.

Honor Roll:
Taylor McKeown - Sr - Att - Marywood University
The Colonial States Athletic Conference has named Marywood senior Taylor McKeown (Nashua, NH/Bishop Guertin) to its women's lacrosse Honor Roll for the week ending March 4th.  McKeown opened the season in fine fashion, scoring six goals with an assist in Marywood's 18-14 win over Mount Saint Mary on Wednesday.  She also added three ground balls and caused three turnovers.

Player of the Week:
Marywood University's Taylor McKeown (So., Nashua, NH/Bishop Guertin) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for the week ending March 14, 2010. McKeown scored six goals to lead Marywood to a 21-8 win over Randoplh College in season-opener on March 1st. She scored five goals to lead the Pacers to a 13-12 overtime win against Sweet Briar College (DC) on March 3rd. The sophomore had two goals in a 17-8 loss to Bridgewater College the following day. She then notched three goals and one assist in 13-12 loss to Elmira on Sunday. McKeown is averaging four goals per game.

 

Honor Roll:
Cabrini College's Amanda Alexandrowicz (Sr., Ridley, PA/Ridley) was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference honor roll for women's lacrosse for the week ending March 14, 2010. Senior attack Alexandrowicz totaled a career-high nine points on eight goals and one assist in a 12-12 win at the University of Scranton on March 11. She recorded three point on three goals in a 14-8 loss at Haverford College March 9.

 

Centenary College's Megan Mars (Sr., Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference honor rolll for women's lacrosse fort he week ending March 14, 2010. Mars matched her career-high with six goals in Centenary's season-opening 16-5 win over Lancaster Bible. The senior midfield also tallied one assist and two groundballs.
