CENTENARY COLLEGE, NJ – POSITION OPENING
Centenary College located in Hackettstown, NJ is in search of a Co-Head Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a part-time position to begin fall 2010. The candidate should have previous experience in the field and/or an applicable bachelor's degree. He/she should be well versed in the rules of NCAA Division III and the sport of women’s basketball.
Responsibilities include administration & supervision of all aspects of the women’s basketball program including the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division III Women’s Basketball program that competes in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, travel coordination, program administration, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, college staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all College, CSAC, and NCAA rules and regulations, as well as, dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Previous college, professional, and/or international playing experience, is strongly preferred. Must be computer literate; strong organization and communication skills necessary; must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Centenary College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
A Bachelor's degree is required; previous coaching experience is preferred.
