Colonial States Athletic Conference

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Cairn University swept the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men’s basketball weekly awards on Monday afternoon as senior guard Jeremiah Harris was named as the Player of the Week, while senior guard Julian Collazo was named as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Harris averaged an incredible 34.5 points per game in the Highlanders two wins last week. The senior carried the Highlanders in both wins, shooting an incredible 63.4 percent from the field for the week. Against Lancaster Bible, Harris notched his career high and 7th highest point total in Cairn history with a 40-point effort. In the Highlanders first CSAC win, Harris followed up with 29 points and five assists, pacing Cairn down the stretch and buoying their offense.

Collazo had a great week for the Highlanders, as he averaged 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in a 2-0 week for Cairn. Against Keystone, he had 11 total rebounds with six of them being defensive while grabbing three steals.

Honor Roll selection went to Chris Labelle from Centenary, who in a loss to Wesley, had 31 points and was 11-for-12 from the foul line.

Dante Lanzetta had 14 points off of the bench for Bryn Athyn in a loss to Neumann…Jeremiah Harris had 29 points for Cairn in its CSAC opening win over Keystone…Chris LaBelle was 11-for-12 from the foul line on Tuesday in a loss to Wesley for Centenary…Marcus Dixon had 19 points for Clarks Summit in its win over Bryn Athyn, marking CSU’s first CSAC win since 2/3/2016…Jeremy Jordan had 22 points for Keystone in its loss to Marywood…Zaire Mitchell had 14 points for Rosemont in a loss to New York University…Lance Rhoden had 11 points for Saint Elizabeth in an exhibition against Delaware State…Wilson was idle last week.
