ROSEMONT, Pa. – Cairn University freshman guard Josh Forker and Centenary University graduate forward Tom Weiler were named as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Forker averaged 18 points on the week, including a 19-point performance a gritty road win over Wilson on Sunday. Against the Phoenix, Forker scored 16 of Cairn’s 31 points during a 31-16 run over the final 8:54 to give the Highlanders the win. He shot 11-for-15 during the week, including a 6-for-8 performance in the win over the Phoenix.

Weiler helped the Cyclones stretch their win streak to four straight games with a dominating performance on the boards in their only game of the week. He grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, 12 of which came on the defensive glass in the win over Bryn Athyn. Weiler also matched his career-high with four steals in the win. In addition, he added 13 points in the contest for his second career double-double and three assists.

Honor Roll selections went to Bryn Athyn’s junior guard Tariq Moore who had 17 points and five steals in the win over Rosemont…Cairn senior guard Jeremiah Harris who had 7.5 rebounds per game in two victories…Keystone freshman forward Marcus Bauman who had 13 points and 11 rebounds in a win over John Jay…Keystone junior forward Jeremy Jordan who had 15.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Giants….Saint Elizabeth senior guard Jason Saldiveri who had 24.5 points in two wins, including 17 points in a road win over Rosemont.

Wilson went 38-for-45 from the foul line in the double overtime win over Rosemont on Wednesday, with Zachary Powell going 11-for-11 and Christian Evans shooting 15-for-16…Chris Briner had 15 points for Rosemont on Saturday against Bryn Athyn…Marcus Bauman had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Keystone in its win over John Jay on Sunday…Aytor Alberto had 11 points for Clarks Summit against Cairn…Tom Weiler had a team-high 13 points for Centenary on Wednesday in its win over Bryn Athyn…Malachi Hall had 23 points and ten rebounds for Cairn in its win over Wilson on Saturday…Okoye Taylor had 23 points for Bryn Athyn, including a 13-for-14 performance from the foul line, in its win over Rosemont on Saturday…Five players scored in double figures for Saint Elizabeth in its win over Rosemont…with Jason Saldiveri scoring 17.
