Colonial States Athletic Conference

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Keystone sophomore guard Bella Lamonea and Centenary University sophomore forward Jessica McKenzie were named as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player and Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by the conference office. The award includes games from December 16, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

Lamonea, who won the Player of the Week award back on December 2, scored 24 points and added in 12 rebounds for the Giants in an 83-60 win over Rosemont on Saturday. The two teams were meeting for the first time since the 2019 CSAC title game. She also had three steals and six assists in the win.

McKenzie averaged 11 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while leading the Cyclones to a pair of wins last week. The sophomore forward pulled down 11 rebounds in each game, in the win over Cedar Crest she was dominate on the defensive glass as 10 of her 11 rebounds came on the defensive end. She had a pair of blocks against PSU Harrisburg and added one against Cedar Crest.

Honor Roll selections went to Notre Dame’s freshman guard Ariana Alleyne who averaged 22 points over two games, and had 14 assists in the win over PS-York…Centenary University sophomore guard Taylor Bossert who averaged 15 points in two games over break…Clarks Summit junior guard Randie Traxler who had 23 points in the win over Wilson on Saturday…Cedar Crest freshman guard Ashley Wilson who scored 28 points in the win over Lancaster Bible…Notre Dame freshman guard Jaylah Lewis who averaged six steals over two games.
