ROSEMONT, Pa. - College of Saint Elizabeth swept the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) men's volleyball player and defensive player of the week awards on Monday.
Freshman outside hitter
Kodi Peters was named as the Player of the Week, while sophomore libero
Daniel Chavez was named Defensive Player of the Week
Peters totaled 27 kills and hit 33.3 percent in a 3-1 week for the Eagles. He had ten kills in wins over Brooklyn and Wilson.
Chavez recorded 32 total digs in a 3-1 week for the Eagles including sweeps over Brooklyn, Pratt and Wilson. He averaged 8.0 digs per match.
Opening Serve
Cairn University played just one match last week, dropping a 3-2 decision to Neumann.
Colin Benjamin had 15 kills, which was a match high…Rosemont College hosted its first tri-match on Saturday, hosting King’s and Elizabethtown.
Heriberto Hernandez, Jr., had seven kills against Elizabethtown for the Ravens…The College of Saint Elizabeth went 3-1 last week, with wins over Brooklyn, Pratt and a conference win over Wilson.
Jarod Crowe had seven aces in the win over Pratt…Wilson College went 1-2 last week, scoring a 3-0 win over Pratt.
Ian Firestone had eight kills and ten assists in the win for the Phoenix.
