Colonial States Athletic Conference

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Keystone junior infielder Lexy Johnson and teammate junior pitcher Marlena Pegula were named as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Johnson went .389 this week with four triples, two home runs, seven runs scored and 7 RBI. She had two home runs against Wilson, and went 3-for-4 in the win over the Phoenix.

Pegula went 2-0 last week with wins over Cairn and Wilson to keep the Giants near the top of the standings. Against Wilson, she got the win going seven innings, striking out seven. She had six K’s versus Wilson.

Honor Roll selections went to Sara Castillo who went 5-for-10 in four games last week…Cedar Crest senior infielder Riley Tremblay who went 3-for-6 in the Clarks Summit series…Rosemont junior infielder Brittney Strauss…Notre Dame’s Miranda Burton who had a pair of hits in each game against Clarks Summit…Centenary’s Julia Campen who allowed just two earned runs in 11.1 innings of work against Cairn and Saint Elizabeth…Cedar Crest graduate student Breanna Young who struck out four in relief work against Clarks Summit…Rosemont’s Nina Foy who had seven strikeouts against Notre Dame…Notre Dame’s Jessie Leatherwood who struck out 28 in three games last week.
